Jarren Santos is a Data Consultant subcontractor with Diligent Consultant, where he specializes in data modeling, advanced analytics, and research writing. He holds a bachelor's degree in biology from Grinnell College (Grinnell, IA) and a master’s degree in biostatistics from the University of Iowa (Iowa City, IA). His academic background in biostatistical and data science has supported a broad range of analyses across healthcare, pharmaceutical research and development, and nonprofit organizations.

Jarren's work is rooted in interdisciplinary collaboration, coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure that all parts sum up to the whole. He began his career during graduate school as an intern for Sarah at a Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, forging the foundation for a wonderful and continued collaboration with Diligent Consulting. Jarren has many strengths, but among them are his ability to communicate complex data and statistical concepts in clear, accessible terms, as well as his curiosity and willingness to explore new ideas.

Since graduate school, Jarren has worked as a data scientist and lead programmer in multiple capacities to build automated reporting pipelines, design streamlined web applications, and prepare thoughtful analysis for stakeholders of varying backgrounds. When he’s not busy, he spends quality time with his wife and their miniature poodle at their home in Las Vegas, NV, walking the desert trails of Mt. Charleston and Red Rock Canyon, and playing the Pokémon Trading Card Game at local card shops.
