Britton Herbert, Rural Health Consultant

Britton Herbert is a Rural Health Consultant subcontractor with Diligent Consultant, where he specializes in issues related to rural health and trauma care in rural facilities. He holds a Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of South Carolina where his master's thesis focused on the intersection of trauma and rural health. During that time he led the South Carolina team to include Level IV facilities in the state trauma system.
In 2025 Britton completed the National Rural Health Association's Rural Health Fellows Program. He is a Certified Rural Health Clinic Professional (CRHCP) and a Nationally Registered EMT. He serves as a board member on various councils, including the South Carolina EMS Association Foundation, the South Carolina EMS Advisory Council, and the South Carolina Trauma Advisory Council. Britton works as the Director of Data Strategy & Healthcare Integration for the South Carolina Office of Rural Health.
